How you can go to Heaven. I was saved at the age of ten at a youth camp in Covington, Louisiana in July 1970. I have been saved for 37 years. The decision to trust Christ as my personal Savior that evening is as real today as it was back then. My life was changed and I have never gotten over it. When I got saved I realized I was a sinner who needed the Savior. You also can be saved. Please prayerfully read God's simple plan of salvation given below. Let us know if you have any questions or if you have made a decision concerning your eternity. Lamar Powell God tells us that you can know for sure that you are going to Heaven when you die. "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:13) God wants you to know four things. . . 1. You are a sinner and cannot save yourself. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9 2. Jesus Christ has already provided the way of salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " - John 3:16 3. You must repent of your sins, confess them and forsake them. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " - I John 1:9 4. Acceptance or refusal determines your destiny. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. - John 3:36 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13 Whosoever means you. If you by simple faith will trust in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your soul's salvation, you can be 100% sure that you are going to Heaven. Nothing else will do...not church membership, not baptism, not confirmation, not communion, not good works. None of these things can save us from sin. Only Jesus Christ.
There are no magic words to say. You might pray something like this,
in your own words, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and
save your soul: "Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe
that you love me so much that you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for
my sins. I believe that Jesus is God and that he shed His blood on
the cross in order to save me from my sins. I repent of my sin and
put my trust in Jesus as my only way to heaven. Lord, forgive me and
come into my heart and save me. Amen." |
