According to the forecast you can plan on rain this weekend. Some people call it "liquid sunshine." Regardless of whether or not you like rain, it's been a fact of life ever since the Flood (ah, yes, Noah's ark!). Our lives experience sunshine and rain, and it is the Lord that blesses us with them both. I like sunny days, but if it never rained, things wouldn't grow, and Louisiana wouldn't be known for its swamps and wetlands but for being a desert instead. In the midst of the rain, take some time to thank the Lord for His blessings and plan to serve Him faithfully.

This weekend has some opportunities ahead. Tomorrow (Saturday), we will have a church work day to prepare for our upcoming revival services and to make things more presentable for guests that come. Sunday, we plan to meet with the Lord during our services. I'll preach in the morning worship service about being real. I hope to see you as we serve and worship together!
